By accessing or using our platform ("the Platform"), you automatically agree to the following Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Platform immediately. These Terms apply internationally.

1. User Accounts & Google Integration

You must provide accurate information and keep credentials secure. Google Integration: To provide scheduling and virtual classrooms, the Platform integrates with Google Calendar and Google Meet. By connecting your account, you authorize Darresne to manage calendar events and generate Meet links for your sessions. You are responsible for all actions under your account.

2. Users Under 18

Students under 18 may use the Platform only with the full consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian ("Guardian"). Because minors cannot open a Whish Money account, all transactions must be processed via the Guardian's account. The Guardian accepts full responsibility on behalf of the minor.

3. Payment Terms

All tutoring payments must be processed exclusively through the Platform. Currently, the only accepted payment method is Whish Money. Platform fees are non-refundable.

4. Refunds & Cancellation Policy

Student Cancellations:

• >24 Hours: 100% refund, one reschedule allowed.
• 12–24 Hours: 50% refund, one reschedule allowed.
• 6–12 Hours: 25% refund, reschedule not guaranteed.
• <6 Hours: No refund, no reschedule.

Tutor Cancellations: Student receives a full refund. Repeated cancellations may lead to tutor suspension.

No-Shows: Student no-show (tutor paid in full); Tutor no-show (student refunded, tutor penalized).

5. Rescheduling Policy

Rescheduling follows the same timelines and rules as the cancellation policy above.

6. Tutor Responsibilities

Tutors must provide accurate profiles, deliver professional sessions, comply with all local and international laws, and avoid misconduct.

7. Student Responsibilities

Students must attend on time, behave respectfully, and provide honest, constructive feedback.

8. Copyright & Intellectual Property

All Platform content is copyrighted. Tutors retain copyright of their materials unless explicitly transferred. Students receive a personal-use license only.

9. Recording Policy & Data Retention

The Platform does not store session recordings. Temporary access to session metadata may be requested for disputes and will be deleted immediately after resolution. We adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy for all Google-sourced data.

10. Refund Requests

Requests must be submitted within 6 hours of the session time and are processed within 48 hours if deemed valid.

11. Prohibited Use

No illegal activity, harassment, fraud, hacking, or cheating is permitted.

12. Indemnification

Users indemnify the Platform from claims arising from their use, violations of these terms, or disputes with other users.

13. Governing Law & Arbitration

Disputes shall be resolved exclusively through binding arbitration by the Dubai International Arbitration Centre (DIAC). The governing law is the laws of England and Wales. Users waive the right to class action lawsuits.

14. International Application

These Terms override conflicting local rules. Users are responsible for local law compliance.

15. Termination

Accounts may be terminated for breaches, fraud, or misuse without refund.

16. Marketplace Intermediary Disclaimer

Darresne.net operates solely as a marketplace. Tutors are independent service providers, not employees. The Platform is not liable for disputes arising between students and tutors.
